Interior and exterior decorating where preparation gets as much attention as the paint, because that is what decides how long the finish lasts.

About this work
Most of the difference between decorating that lasts and decorating that does not is settled before any paint is opened. Filling, sanding, cleaning down and priming are the unglamorous hours, and they decide whether the finish still looks right in three years or starts lifting in one.
That matters most outside. Exterior paintwork takes weather continuously, so how much preparation a surface needs matters more than how much area there is to cover. We have painted front and rear elevations in Wood Green, and done interior decorating alongside other work in Chingford.
Inside, the work is as much about protection and tidiness as coverage. Decorating happens in rooms you are still living in, around furniture and floors that have to survive it. Masking, sheeting and clearing up are part of the job we quote for.
We take on single rooms and whole-property redecoration, and we are happy to decorate as the last stage of a larger job we are already doing, which avoids the common problem of a renovation finishing in bare filler because the decorator was booked separately and is three weeks out.
Our workmanship carries a 12-month guarantee, set out in our terms, and ATEN11 holds public liability insurance.

Common questions
Do you do exterior painting as well as interior?
Both. Exterior work includes the woodwork, and we quote it on the condition of the surface rather than just the area, because preparation is the bulk of the job outside.
Is preparation included in the price?
Yes. Filling, sanding and making good are included, and they are what decides how long the finish lasts.
Will you decorate one room, or only whole properties?
Either. A single room is a perfectly normal enquiry.
Can you decorate as part of a larger job?
Yes, and it usually works better that way: the decorating happens in sequence at the end rather than waiting on a separate booking.
