About this work
Home improvement covers a wide span. At one end is a single room made to work better; at the other, a whole property brought up to standard. What the two have in common is that they are changes you choose to make rather than faults you are forced to fix, so the starting point is a conversation about what you actually want the space to do.
That conversation matters more than it sounds. A staircase renovation we carried out in Edmonton began as a straightforward job and turned into something larger when rotten timber came to light underneath. What mattered was explaining what had been found, proposing a practical way forward, and agreeing it before carrying on. Improvement work throws up surprises, and how they are handled is most of the difference between a good job and a bad one.

Common questions
Can you do a single room, or do you only take whole projects?
Either. A single room reconfigured is as welcome an enquiry as a full property refurbishment.
What happens if you find a problem once work has started?
We stop, explain what has been found and what the options are, and agree the way forward with you before continuing. Discovering rot or earlier bad work part-way through is not unusual on improvement jobs.
Is your workmanship guaranteed?
Yes, a 12-month guarantee on our own workmanship. The scope and the exclusions are set out in our terms rather than summarised loosely here.
Do you handle the finishing, or is that a separate trade?
It is part of the same job. Finishing and making good throughout are included rather than left for you to arrange with someone else.
