Woodwork made to fit the space rather than the other way round: fitted storage, bespoke pieces, and repairs where timber has failed.
About this work
Carpentry is the work customers have most often reviewed us for. Fitted storage, timber repairs, doors, hatches, gates and staircases make up the largest share of those jobs.
Made-to-fit work earns its keep in the spaces standard furniture cannot use. A custom under-stairs cupboard with drawers in Chingford is a good example: an awkward triangular void that no shop-bought unit addresses, turned into proper storage. So is alcove joinery, where the whole point is that the piece matches the opening rather than approximately fitting it.
The other half of this work is repair, and it is frequently the better answer. A wooden front door in Enfield was renovated rather than replaced, and the draughts stopped. Crumbling window frames around a garage in Enfield were replaced where replacement genuinely was needed. A staircase in Edmonton turned out to have rotten timber underneath and needed a practical solution rather than the simple job it first appeared to be. Where timber has failed, the question is always whether to repair or replace it, and we will give you the honest answer rather than the larger invoice.
Loft hatches and ladders come up often enough to mention specifically: installed from scratch in Enfield, repaired at short notice in Winchmore Hill. Bespoke external joinery too, including a garden gate in Archway.
Our workmanship carries a 12-month guarantee, set out in our terms, and ATEN11 holds public liability insurance.

Common questions
Can you build something to fit an awkward space?
That is most of what this work is. Under-stairs voids, alcoves and other spaces no standard unit fits are exactly where made-to-measure joinery is worth doing.
Would you repair timber rather than replace it?
Where repair is the better answer, yes, and we will tell you when it is. A front door renovated to stop draughts is a cheaper and better outcome than a new door, when the door is sound enough for it.
Do you fit loft hatches and ladders?
Yes, both installing new ones and repairing existing ones.
Do you take on exterior joinery?
Yes. Gates, external doors and window frames included, using timber suited to being outside.
